LONGWIRE IN THE YARD

   Long wire antenna in the yard, of the summer house which is located in Marathon Municipality, 42 km and 195 m to the north of Athens.

   A 30 meters wire, multi stranded, 2 mm diameter, covered with transparent plastic. The antenna is located 2m above the ground, and it is directed South-East, towards Cyprus.

   RF-Systems longwire balun, but the egg insulator is missing.

   Using Palstar MW550P, along with Roadstar TRA-2350P, I receive a good daytime signal from Nicosia, on 603 KHz. The distance from the transmitter to the receiving post is more than 900 Km. This is a quite funny synergy, as the American unit is five times the value of the Chinese one.
